The results of the project "Less Tuberculosis" will be announced in a public session, to be held on June 5, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in the ISPUP. "Tuberculosis in HIV Infected Individuals", the "Transmission Lines of Tuberculosis in the Urban Area of Porto" and the "Genetic Characterization of Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains in Porto" are some of the presentations included in the program of the event.

Scientific article published in the "International Journal of Tuberculosis and Lung Disease"
The project published its first scientific article titled "Tuberculosis among the homeless: should we change the strategy?". The publication consists of the report of a study that evaluated the incidence of tuberculosis in the homeless in Portugal and the success rate of treatment of the disease in this group, compared to the infected population that does not live on the street.

"MenosTB" presented the results of the project in 2 Oral Communications:
- Genetic characterization of Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains in Porto shows the need to develop strategic changes for the elimination of tuberculosis in the city, by Teresa Rito;
- Epidemiological investigation of tuberculosis: the role of genetic information, by Carlos Matos.

On July 15, at the School of Health Sciences, University of Minho, will be held a conference on the theme From High Endemic TB situation to a "Near To Be Eliminated" State  with the presence of Doctor Karin Rønning from the Norwegian Institute of Public Health.

The Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto celebrated its 10th Anniversary on July 14th. The Menos TB Project had a poster available for consultation throughout the event.

On May 17 the Menos TB team met in ARSNORTE in order to monitor and make a status of the various working groups. There was still time for the presentation of some results already achieved in the course of the project. the next activities were also planned.  See the pictures.

Took place on April 20, the Seminar with prosecutors within the Public Health Initiatives funded by Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein through the EEA Grants 2009-2014. The nine projects ending its activities on 30 April presented their results to the Financial Mechanism of Donor Countries of the European Economic Area (EEA FM).
This activity was attended by two representatives from Menos TB Porto.

The presentation event was held at ISPUP last 22 March. This initiative was attended by several renowned professionals in the area before a full hearing. Thanks to all who attended and reported this event. We invite everyone to visit the event photo gallery here.

On March 22 that Team Less TB Port and respective employees will mark World TB Day. The event will run from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm in the auditorium ISPUP. Admission is free and will address topics such as "Vulnerable populations in urban centers," "The execution and the first results of street work," The importance of working in partnership, "among others.
